Leadership Bedford 2022- 25th Class | |
January 26th - June | |
Subject: | About Leadership Bedford provides a unique benefit of facilitating today’s existing and emerging leaders. This 5 -month program provides classic training in leadership styles and techniques while incorporating community knowledge. Students will participate in activities focused on developing strong working relationships between participants, identifying and evaluating the characteristics of leadership and distinguishing each person’s leadership style. “Community Focus” sessions consist of panel discussions, lectures, and community tours which include face-to-face discussions with top-level business, civic and governmental leaders. Team building is a big part of the training and this year we will add service to 2 non-profits. We will also include a class project. This is a certified John Maxwell Course. Expectations Students are expected to attend all sessions unless other arrangements have been made. “Snow Days” will be handled on a case-by-case basis at that time we can offer virtual training for that class if available. Email President Wende Henley at Wende@baccva.org. This year we have an intimate class and will make the most of our time together. While students are expected to provide their own transportation , ride share options are available for tours. Students should dress in a professional manner for all sessions, wearing business casual attire that can also accommodate movement and flexibility (with the exception of the Low Ropes Course at the Bedford YMCA – See class description for details). The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce will provide snacks and lunch for students during each class. Any additional Dinner attendees will be required to pay for their meal. Chamber Day at the Capitol will be paid for by the student or their business. Lunch will be provided by the BACC. |
