Event Description:

Leading the S.M.A.R.T. Networking: Grant Writing conversation are Jo Anne Miller, Executive Director of Brook Hill Farm, and Emily Joseph, Grants Manager with Grant Flow.

Finding and securing funding can be a challenge, especially for nonprofits, local government, and other "not-for-profit" organizations. Grants seem like an obvious solution, but writing for them is no easy task.

Whether you're an experienced grant writer or looking to get started, this interactive workshop is an excellent opportunity to level up or receive a hands-on, comprehensive foundation of grant writing.

At S.M.A.R.T Networking: Grant Writing in December 2024, attendees learned about finding grants, common myths, strategies for standing out, best practices and tools, measuring success, what grantors look for, and more. If you enjoyed that workshop, we encourage you to return! While we will revisit some of that same comprehensive information, this iteration will take a more hands-on approach to enable participants to work through the grant process, take a closer look at their organization, and collaborate with peers. It is also not necessary to have attended in the 2024 session to participate in this one!

Seats are limited! Register today.

About Our Speakers

Both Emily Joseph and Jo Anne Miller have written for and received many competitive grants over the years, and they both endeavor to share their knowledge and experience with others to help them find grant opportunities, strategize, write, and succeed. Through her work with Grant Flow, Emily helps organizations and individuals simplify the grant application process and maximize their strengths, particularly while pursuing state and federal grants. Jo Anne, who was a college professor in her past life, speaks nationally and internationally about grant writing, and she also serves on committees that review applications and dispense grant funds.
