Event Description:
Each year, the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the Bedford Forum, which is not a debate but rather a civil informational session for voters leading up to Election Day. Last year, we heard from balloted, opposed candidates representing the Town and/or County at the state and local levels. This year, there are four balloted Town Council candidates running for four open seats. While we still have a moderated Q&A with available balloted candidates, we will also offer "meet and greet" time and other informational programming. Stay tuned for details!
Doors open at 5:00PM. This event will be moderated by Tim Saunders, Business Engagement & Community Outreach Coordinator for the Central VA Workforce Development Board.
Community members are encouraged to submit questions for the candidates prior to the event. An online form is available HERE. Voters are also welcome to mail questions for submission to the Bedford Chamber office at 305 E. Main Street, Bedford, VA 24523. All questions must be received at least a week prior, on October 10. We will not accept questions on-site.
